Practical Method of Reading Meters

Practical Method of Reading Meters Points : Practical Method of Reading Meters Step. 1 Note down the selector reading.
Step.2 Select a particular scale on which you want to take reading (in case of multi scale meter).
Step.3 Note down the full-scale-deflection reading of scale selected.
Step.4 Calculate the constant or multiplying factor of the meter as Constant = Selector Reading/full scale Reading
Step.5 Now connect the meter in the circuit obeying all precautions and note down the pointer reading on the selected scale.
Step.6 The actual reading is calculated as under:
Actual Reading = Pointer Reading X Constant.
