Conduit Wiring Installation Method

Conduit Wiring Installation Method Points : Conduit Wiring Installation Method The first consideration is to choose the most suitable routes for the conduits. The routes should, be chosen so as to keep the conduits are straight as possible. It is recommended that to use manufactured bends, inspection tees, elbows and junction boxes. Draw the lines on the suited routes by using coloured thread, made the holes into the walls at the distance of 1 meter and these holes arranged to equal distances.
Rawal plugs are inserted in these holes using hammer. It is recommended that always use the correct size of cable, it will then be necessary to select the appropriate size of conduit to accommodate these cables. If we use steel conduit then cut the conduit to required length and made the threads on both ends of the conduit using stock-and-die set. After that the sharp edges of the conduits are making smoothly using files. The advantage of smooth edges, is that the insulation of the cable can not be damaged. Joints the conduits to each other with the help of necessary fittings such as elbows, G.l socket tee etc. But in case of P.V.C conduit, there is no necessary to make the threads on the conduit, these conduits are easily fitted to each other when we use necessary fitting. After that cables which may be P.V.C/V.R.I are drawn through in conduits. Switches and sockets are installed on the wooden or plastic board but ceiling rose and lamp holder are fitted on wooden round blocks.
A separate earth continuity conductor must be run with all P.V.C plastic conduit system and connected to the consumer’s earthing terminal. In case of steel conduit system make sure that the whole conduit system must be electrically continuous, so that a current applied to any part of the conduit will be conducted to earth from a given point. In last test the whole wiring system using megger.
