Types of cable W.R.T core

Types of cable W.R.T core Points : Types of cable W.R.T core “In electric cables, the insulated conductor is known as core.” If a cable is required containing more than one insulated core that is a multi core cable. A cable can have many numbers of cores but the most common are single, twin, three and four core cables. The number of insulated wires or cores is laid up together. The interspaces between cores are filled in with a warning of jute. The insulation of the separate cores of multi-core cables may be either VIR or other material. All outdoor multi-core cables must be lied covered to ensure protection from water. If single Phase circuit is wired,, then it is best to install at twin core cable with earth continuity conductor enclosed with in its sheath. The cores and jute are twisted together with a suitable lay into a compact form. A rubber sheath is lapped on it an4 braiding lead covering as armouring is also used on it. In two core cables the colour of cores re may be red, and black and in three core cables the colour are red, white and blue. The cable cores are made of in circular, oval, square or in flat shape.
