1. In series generator the winding resistance is very low due to this reason find the properties of open circuit (o.c.c) of this generator (to get low supply voltage).
2. Over compound generator having rising properties before operating this generator in parallel. We use the proper instrument to correct the same properties.
3. According to maintenance schedule, e.g. daily, weakly, monthly and regularly check the generator, pin mover, panel, etc. for smooth good performances.
4. External circuit must be closed when excited service generator (due to incomplete circuit flow of current is not possible).
5. Properly know the process of operating (start and stop) and speed control of this machine.
6. Wear proper uniform (don’t use loose clothing) while working on rotating machine.
7. Avoid smoking and talking during working on machine.
8. The area of machine is clean dust, moisture, etc.
9. Do not work in dull lighting.
