Ceiling Rose Points : Ceiling Rose, Definition A ceiling rose is used to make a safe and efficient connection between the circuit wiring of an installation au electric load such as, fan, lamp, fluorescent tube etc. ceiling roses are moulded-plastic type and has a moulded-plastic back plate with the terminals moulded into it. Ceiling rose may be of the 2-plate and 3-plate pattern type. Regulation C-19 requires the shrouding a live terminal in a ceiling rose. Fans, lamps and tubes can be wired on the lighting circuit supplied from ceiling roses with 1/0.044 or 3/0.029” cables.
