Raw PlugTool

Raw Plug Tool Points : raw plug tool, definition In case of wiring, whether it is casing capping, wooden batten or conduit pipe, they are all to be fixed to walls, for which purpose holes must be drilled into them. One of the methods of making holes in the wall is by means of a drilling bit fixed to a holder, and into the hole so made in the wail, a raw plug is inserted. The raw plug consists of a tube of hard fiber with a central hole. The raw plug and the bit are selected to suit the job.

There are two types of bit in use; one is called a bullet bit and the other drilling bit. The bullet bit has a blunt hose and is of smooth surface which is used in soft plaster. Such a bit is driven straight without turning. It compresses the sides of the hole and drills out the material. The pointed bit is used for making hole into cement brick or stone. While drilling, care should be taken to tap it slightly with a rotary motion so that with each stroke, it goes forward and throws out the dust.
