Digital Ohmmeter

Digital Ohmmeter Points : Digital Ohmmeter, Definition As started before that resistance can be measured with DVM and result is displayed in ohm in digital from, the meter is called digital ohmmeter.
A digital voltmeter (DVM) can be converted easily into a digital ohmmeter. According to this method of measurement of d.c. resistance constant value current is passed through unknown resistance. The voltage of drops across this resistance are measured the value of drops is proportional to the unknown resistance.
The measurements of voltage drops is done with a DVM and the display of this meter gives resistance in digital form. The circuit arrangements are shown for this purpose in fig (a) & (b).
