- Pass the safety belt around pole or structure and if it is not possible them pass it around the cross arm. Never pass the safety belt around conductor, insulator and helping straps and fix t below 30cm the height of pole or structure where there is no conductor.
- Tie up the safety strap of safety belt around the pole and with the body strap in such a way that there is proper distance between the worker and the pole; hence the task can be fulfilled properly.
- While climbing up stepping down from the pole, ensure that safety belt does not tangle up e.g., with pole product etc.
