Types of Strip Chart Recorders Points : Types of Strip Chart Recorders, Galvanometer type, Null Type (a) Galvanometer Type This type of strip chart recorder operates on the deflection principle. The deflection is produced by a galvanometer which produces a torque on account of a current passing through its coil. This current is proportional to the quantity being measured. (b) Null Type This type of recorder operates on comparison basis. As per course a requirement we will explain the working of Galvanometer type recorders only.
