Moving Iron Instruments

Moving Iron Instruments Points : Moving Iron Instruments, Definition Moving iron instruments are widely used in laboratories and switch boards at commercial frequencies because these are cheaper in cost, robust in construction. These can be manufactured with required accuracy. The moving iron instrument has the advantages of simplicity and ruggedness. There are no current carrying parts on the moving system, and one control spring serves as spring only. The moving system is not damped by even very great overloads.
