The earlier scientific instruments used the same three initial elements as our modern instruments do. These elements are:
(a) A detector
(b) An intermediate transfer device
(c) An indicator, recorder or a storage device.
The history of development of instruments consists of three phases of instruments, like, mechanical instruments, electrical instruments and electronic instrument.
