Voltmeter Multiplier for A.C. Instruments

Voltmeter Multiplier for A.C. Instruments Points : voltmeter multiplier for a.c. instruments Voltmeter multipliers when used with the instruments to be employed for ac measurements, then total impedance of the voltmeter and its series resistance must remain almost constant for various frequencies. So inductance of the series resistance is kept the smallest possible in order to keep the inductance of the total circuit at low value. Hence the series resistance is normally made of coil wound on flat mica strips to reduce the area of the coil.
