Induction Voltmeter

Induction Voltmeter Points : Induction Voltmeter Its construction is similar to that of an induction ammeter except for the difference that its winding is wound with a large number of turns of fine wire. Since it is connected across the lines and carries very small current i.e. 5 to 10mA. The number of turns of the winding has to be large in order to produce an adequate amount of m.m.f. split phase windings are obtained by connecting a high resistance “R” in series with the winding of one of magnet and an induction coil in series with the winding of the other magnet.
