- The sharp edged tools such as pocket knife, chisels, scratching awl should never be put in pocket without shield, and while working with such tools, care should be taken not to place hand or finger in the path of motions of the cutting tool. Also care should be taken not to hand over the sharp-edge tools with its sharp edge first.
- When making a cut with a saw, the cut must be guided with a finger and thumb of one hand, otherwise the blade is liable to brake which may cause serious injuries.

- Before using a hammer, its handle must he examined, whether it is properly secured or not.
