Advantages of Balanced Bridge Transistor Voltmeters
Points : advantages of balanced bridge transistor voltmeters
A TVM bridge circuit with a substantial negative feedback minimizes drift due to variations in beta (β), lc and
power supply fluctuations.
If the ambient temperature increases, the beta (β)value of both Q1 and Q2 increase. Assuming
that the two transistors Q1 and Q2 are perfectly matched, the increase in cut tent through
RC1is the same as through RC2, and bridge thus remains balanced.
Power supply fluctuations results in variations and Vcc values, and since bias change is the same for both
transistor and here the bridge remains balanced.
The maintenance of calibration accuracy, however, requires the action of a substantial amount of negative fee
back, in addition to a stable balance conditions.
