A conduit is defined as a tube or channel. But in electrical installation work ‘conduit’ refer to metal or P.V.C plastic tube or pipe. The conduit which is used in electrical installation work differs from ordinary water pipe because it is specially annealed to softer it, for easy bending. The most common forms of conduit used for wiring purpose are steel conduit and P.V.C plastic conduit.
